Orion StarBlast Telescope

When we talk about the "night sky," we usually mean the evening. But stargazing at odd times can reveal so much more of what the night sky has to offer.

In November we have the Leonid meteor shower — one of the best of the year — peaking in the early morning of the 17th. We're also lucky enough to see a near-total lunar eclipse from approximately 2am to 6am on the 19th!

So for all you celestial early birds out there, the Scarborough Public Library is partnering with Seth Lockman, Solar System Ambassador, to show you some of the less-observed wonders of the night sky. We'll also focus on night sky objects that can easily be viewed from a small telescope like the Orion StarBlast telescope available through our Library.

Friday, November 12 at 7:00 pm
Free and open to the public.
