Vegetable Gardening 101: Victory Gardens for ME Video Series & Second Panel Discussion

The Library will host the second virtual panel discussion based on a series of short videos for Mainers growing their first vegetable garden. University of Maine Cooperative Extension created the videos. Pamela Hargest, Horticulture Professional on the Cooperative Extension staff withTom Witwicki, Master Gardener Volunteer, Class of 2017 and Tyra Mitchell, Master Gardener Volunteer, Class of 2018 led the first panel discussion to address questions about the first four fifteen-minute videos (episodes 1-4). The second panel discussion will happen in very early summer after gardeners have had a chance to get their hands dirty! Participants are encouraged to view the next four fifteen-minute videos (episodes 5-8) prior to the discussion on Thursday, June 24 at 6:30 pm. Gary Hoyt, Master Gardener Volunteer, Class of 2019, Tyra Mitchell, Master Gardener Volunteer, Class of 2018, and Sheri Fistal, Master Gardener Volunteer, Class of 2014 and Master Food Preserver will join Pamela Hargest for the second panel discussion.People are invited to register for the second panel discussion, which is free and open to the public. A recording of the first panel discussion will become available by the end of April.
