Advance your French speaking skills by practicing the language in a welcoming atmosphere. A monthly theme is selected to help guide the conversation - en français! Bayside Brass Performance

Bayside Brass, Sunday Performance, Scarborough Public Library

We’ll fill the Library rafters with music as we clear the center of the building for a “before hours” performance by Bayside Brass. Dedicated to serious repertoire for brass, the quintet includes Alan King and Dan Laciano on trumpet, Caitlin Ramsey on horn, Doug Ertman on tuba, and our own Jeff Ertman on trombone. Join us and celebrate the new year with light refreshments and wonderful music! This event is free to attend. No registration required.

The Library Genealogy Group will not meet in December due to the Christmas Holiday. Next gathering will be Monday, January 22, 2018. Join us for our monthly Scarborough Public Library Genealogy Group, offered the fourth Monday of each month from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Whether you are just starting to explore your heritage or well into the process, this “drop in” gathering will introduce you to vetted resources for ancestral research.

Monthly Minecraft Miner Day

Minecraft Miner Day

Every 4th Sunday of the month starting January 28, 2018! Explore the Library’s Minecraft world created by our volunteer “tech teens!.” We’ll begin with a session just for beginners at 1:00 PM, then everyone can join in starting at 2:00 PM. If you’ve created your own Minecraft world, bring it along to show others on our big screen! Computers will be available, or you can bring your own laptop. No sign up is needed—just drop in!
