Research Services

MARVEL!: Maine’s Virtual Library is a collection of digital resources (most of them not available on the free internet). This is provided to all of Maine’s public and school, and academic libraries by the Maine State Library.

MARVEL! resources include: Full-text magazine and newspaper articles including Consumer Reports and the Portland Press Herald, full versions of the Encyclopedia Britannica and the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science and Technology ... and many more.

Use the Quick Discovery Search below (which includes many, but not all, MARVEL! resources in one convenient search); or go to MARVEL! directly and pick the databases you want to search individually.
