You have entered the realm of Dungeons & Dragons programming at Scarborough Public Library. Here you will find all the information you need to begin your journey as an adventurer in a world of magic and monsters. We will be using the rules and resources for the 5th edition of Dungeons & Dragons.
For Winter/Spring 2021, we will have 8-session campaigns for the following groups (registration deadline is the Friday before the first session):
- High School Campaign (grades 9-12), every other Sunday from 4-6pm: January 17, 31; February 14, 28; March 14, 28; April 11, 25
- Middle School Campaign (grades 6-8), every other Sunday from 4-6pm: January 24; February 7, 21; March 7, 21; April 4, 18; May 2
There will also be monthly One-shot adventures for all ages on one Tuesday each month from 4-6pm (registration deadline is the Friday before the session):
- January 19, February 16, March 16, April 20
Our adventures will take place online, and will require players to register for a couple of online platforms to facilitate gameplay. Using a computer will provide the best gaming experience, but mobile options are possible if a computer is not available.
Roll20 is an online platform to create virtual D&D campaigns. Participants will need to register for a free account to participate; please make sure that the email you use to sign up for Roll20 is the same that you use to register.
Discord will be the program we use for voice chat during gameplay. Participants will need to register for a free account to use Discord; you will also need a microphone (or headset) in order to participate in voice chat.
Once your registration is confirmed, you will receive an email with links to the library's campaign on Roll20, and the corresponding Discord server for voice chat.
Registration is required (Registration for Winter/Spring 2021 available soon!). If you wish to participate in a campaign, make sure you’re available to adventure on the appointed days and times before registering to participate. There will also be monthly one-shot adventures to sign up for. Adventurers of all skill levels are welcome, but keep in mind that computer and internet skills will also be needed. Please indicate on the registration form which campaign you would like to participate in; space will be limited to ensure there aren’t too many adventurers vying for quests and rewards.
