Teen Summer Reading

Teens Grades 6 and up: We’ve planned an AWESOME Summer Reading Program, made possible through the financial support of the Friends of the Scarborough Library! Registration starts Monday, June 18, 2018.  This year's theme invites everyone to learn how "Libraries Rock!" We’ve created some fun challenges to help you fulfill Scarborough Middle School's summer requirement of reading 60-75 minutes a week. We've also planned special evening programming just for you! Wednesday nights, teens will work with the theme "Libraries Rock!" Make something with rcycled materials, play boardgames, paint rocks, and create a song using GarageBand. And aspiring writers are invited to join our Scarborough Teen Writers Group once a month to explore different genres of creative writing. There's something for everyone!

Once you have reached Scarborough Middle School's summer requirement of reading 540-675 minutes throughout the summer, bring your Reading Log to Youth Services to get your Certificate of Completion and a FREE BOOK!
