Can I donate my old books to the library?

Due to space limitations, the Friends of the Scarborough Public Library can no longer accept donations of older books on a regular basis. However, they do accept books on occasion, at specific days and times. If there is an upcoming book donation day, or book sale, that information will be posted here.

The Friends of the Library have created a list of recommended locations for donating or selling used books. Each group’s needs may change, so it is recommended that you call for more information before bringing your books for drop off.

RECYCLE

When a book has overstayed its usefulness, the best option may be to let it become something new. Books can be recycled as a last resort.
