  1. Teen Lock In

    • It's time to kick off our Teen Summer Reading Program! Our Teen Advisory Board (TAB) has planned a great movie-themed "Lock In" event for Middle School students entering Grades 6 through 8 in the fall. Take over the Library for a night of Wii, karaoke, crafts, Movie Jeopardy, nostalgic games, and a crazy scavenger hunt through the stacks. There will be snacks too. Doors will open at 6:00 pm, then we’ll “lock in” everyone at 6:30 pm for two hours of games and special activities! Pick up is at 8:30 pm. Must Pre-Register by 5:00 pm June 14. Minimum of 25 must be registered or the event will be cancelled. Call Youth Services at 883-4723 option 3 or email kids@scarboroughlibrary.org

    • Movie Night: Grades 6 and up. Honey just got funny! In this animated movie, Barry B. Benson, a bee who just graduated from college, is disillusioned at his lone career choice: making honey. On a special trip outside the hive, Barry's life is saved by Vanessa, a florist in New York City. As their relationship blossoms, he discovers humans actually eat honey and decides to sue the human race - upheaving nature! Jerry Seinfeld provides the voice talent for Barry and is joined by other well-known stars. Popcorn and beverages provided!
