Job Description
The Scarborough Public Library is seeking substitutes with prior library experience and a desire to work with the public to cover its service desks: circulation, youth services and adult services. Circulation duties include checking out library materials, registering new patrons, and packing materials for van delivery. Prior experience using library circulation software, preferably Sierra, is required. Youth services desk requires prior experience working with youth of all ages. Adult services requires the ability to assist patrons with public computers and mobile devices in addition to finding library resources.
Depending on the qualifications of the applicant, hours may be offered at any of the desks. Shifts offered may include weekday, evening, and Saturday hours so flexibility is a plus. Wage is $20.15 per hour.
