The Charlie Cart Project is built around two core components: the cart itself and the broader system of educational resources that come with it.
The cart is a fully mobile, compact teaching kitchen designed to be rolled into classrooms, community centers, or any learning space for hands-on cooking. It’s practical, approachable, and intentionally designed for group learning and active participation.
Charlie Cart Project members can also access curriculum that integrates cooking with academic subjects like math, science, and literacy. There are lesson plans, teaching guides, and adaptable resources to integrate cooking into existing learning goals. The project is a way to bring food education, hands-on learning, and life skills into everyday teaching.
We're still working on purchasing our Charlie Cart, and setting up programming around it. Stay tuned for more information!
